We’ve just completed the first half of filming and photography for the Epilepsy and Learning Disability Nurse Specialists at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. We’re creating a series of video guides and leaflets which explain to people with Learning Disability and epilepsy the procedures which they may experience in hospital. This includes MRI scan, CT scan, EEG and video telemetry.

Eden Supported Living Rebranding

We’ve now completed the Branding Guidelines for Eden Supported Living in preparation for the launch of their new logo and branding. Eden involved staff and service users in the final branding choice and it was great to have our preferred logo chosen by the majority of the workforce.

Survivors’ Voices – The link between Domestic Abuse and Mental Health

We’ve just finished editing the first sound recording for Survivors’ Voices, a project highlighting the link between domestic abuse and mental health. The recording recalls one woman’s first hand experience of years of domestic abuse and the effect on her mental health during this time. We are now in the process of putting together some visuals to accompany the recording.

Blog Goes Live

Written by the photographers at Crocstock Images it will be exploring current health and social care issues and explaining how images can be used to promote these relevant topics. They’ll also be sharing favourite images, discussing shoots and exploring photographic techniques.

Crocodile House has great experience in finding creative ways to produce campaigns and projects covering specific issues for our health and social care clients.

We’re currently involved in several campaigns:

Domestic abuse and mental health – A first-hand experience from the sufferer’s point of view.

Substance misuse – Anti-stigma educational materials.

Epilepsy and learning disability – Accessible materials for individuals using hospital services.

And we’ll soon be starting on a project highlighting issues faced by Adults with ADHD.

The Real Face of Recovery

Last year we spent several months working with The John Storer Clinic, Community Drug Team, to produce a film which would inspire people towards a belief that a drug free lifestyle is achievable by all.

It features 56 former clients telling their own stories in their own words.

Launched at the end of last year the film is now being shown in waiting rooms at the John Storer Clinic, The Woodlands in-patient Unit, and the Substance Misuse Service in the North of Nottinghamshire.

Being Different

We’ve just completed a video project for NCAS, Nottingham City Asperger Service.

Entitled Being Different: Living life with Asperger Syndrome it documents the positive as well as challenging aspects of living with the condition. In the DVD people with Asperger Syndrome, as well as parents and partners, describe their everyday experiences of family life, relationships, employment, education and leisure.

The video is informative to individuals with the condition and those who live, interact or support adults with Asperger Syndrome.
